Fun Friday!

Heya! So today I'm going to blog about my five favourite things this week (do I sense a tradition in the making?!). Anyway on with the post!
1)Celebrity of the week: So this weeks celebrity of the week is Jennifer Lawrence. Labelled the "fat chick" of Hollywood, I've always loved how she's not afraid to be herself and doesn't feel the need to resort to starving herself to "fit in" in Hollywood (and she always looks amazing). She blew everyone away at the golden globes with the internet being completely divided on whether or not her Dior dress was hot or not. I for one think it's great that she's not afraid of what other people think of her. She picked up Best Supporting Actress for her role in American Hustle and images of her photobombing Taylor Swift has gone viral. She may have her haters but when it comes down to it you have to admit that the seems like a genuinely lovely person and her genuine confidence is a trait rarely found in Hollywood's elite making her the perfect role model for teenage girls everywhere.

2)Movie of the week: American Hustle.I picked this movie this week because it won 3 golden globes at last weeks awards and because our celebrity of the week Jennifer Lawrence is in it. To honest I don't know that much about it but I'll be writing a review tomorrow after I see it.

3) Outfit of the week: This weeks outfit of the week is casual and comfy. With the week that's in it and the rain that seems like it will never end this outfit is perfect for staying in OR going out.

4)Steal her style of the week:

Taylor Swift rocked this Julien MacDonald dress at the golden globes after party. She teamed it with customised Jimmy Choo shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewellery and looked awesome as always.

5)Blog of the week:this weeks blog of the week is the life of a fashion nerd,a crazy blog written by a 14 year old called Anna and it's one of the best blogs I've found in a long time. Check it out at thelifeofafashionnerd.blogspot.ie

Oaty Madness!

Heya!
So loads have you guys have been emailing me your new years resolutions for January's giveaway (which is still open ; just send your craziest news years resolution to claddaghmcl13@gmail.com to be in with a chance of winning a super cute pink playsuit!) and over the last few days I've read a lot of "eating healthier" gone wrong stories. Eating healthier has been on my list of news years resolutions for so many years and the one thing I always have trouble with is the whole porridge for breakfast thing. No offense to porridge fans but I really really hate it... But luckily there is an alternative! Granola!!
You will need:
1) 1 tbsp of oil
2) 3 tbsp of honey
3) 175g porridge oats
4) 1 tsp mixed spices
5) handful of raisins/cranberries
6) handful of nuts (optional)
Melt the oil and the honey in a pan over a low heat.Remove from the heat and add the oats. Mix well then add the mixed spice,the nuts and the raisins/cranberries.Line a baking tin with greaseproof paper and place the mixture in the the tin. Place into the oven and bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes,until golden brown. Serve with fresh fruit and yoghurt. Enjoy!

Roomspiration

Hello!!
So what with it being January and raining and all I got kinda bored and so *drum roll* I decided to do up my room.Fashion isn't just about clothes right?I was really pleased with the results so I thought I'd share them with you guys!

So first I painted all the walls white and then painted one of the walls this bluey-greeney colour called "malibu beach" from B&Q. It's only available in selected stores but if you save the picture to your phone and bring it into your local hardware store they'll mix it for you. If you want a girlier look you could go for a bold pink.

Then I put these really cool shelves from argos on the painted wall.They're extendable so you can have them at whatever length you want.

I bought two really cute canvas prints,this pencil heart from fineartamerica.com (search for colour my heart by vava fuller quinn) and this Parisien Eiffel tower print from Penneys.

My old bed was kind of busted so I went all out (well my mam did..:/) and got this white cabin bed from Argos.

But after all the duvet makes the bed right?So I got this really cute duvet with pink bows (Again from Argos)

I found some really great storage ideas online like this metal bucket turntable from howards storage world.

I also got these vintage storage jars from wilko.com to keep my clips and stuff in.I think they're about £1 (So they're super cheap AND super cute)

I got these really cute retro tins from www.blendboutique.com .Anyone who knows me knows I'm way too obsessed with these and have way too many but these ones are my favourites so far.

I found tutorials for these really cute owl cushions and daisy wall art on the youtube channel DazzleDIY. I'll see if I can get permission to post the tutorials here but they were really easy to make and turned out really well.

Also I went kind off mad a covered the whole place with fairy lights too! I'll be finishing the room tomorrow so I'll do another post if I find some more cool stuff to put in it!I hope you liked it and got loads of cool ideas to brighten up your room!

The new year has only just begun and I'm already lusting after things I can't have.... oh woe is me. But I can take pictures of them (hmm that sounds slightly sad) and share them with you guys! Today I'm lovin these cuff heels in bright colours and bold prints. I <3 them so much!

So..This is moi!

This is my first blog so I'm not really sure how to go about it so I'm gonna just go for it! My name is Claddagh and I'm a 14 year old teenager obsessed with all things fashion and sparkly (I should probably stress at this stage that I'm not a girly girl or a tomboy-I'm just me!)
